Nemours Children’s Health in Wilmington, DE is a founding institutional member of CNOC, with members of our team serving in leadership roles on the CNOC Steering Committee, Standing Committees and SIGs.
Our cardiac neurodevelopment team is a highly multidisciplinary, passionate and dedicated group of clinicians, researchers, and educators working across all areas of the Nemours Cardiac Center. In 2025, we expanded to include two new team members, a dedicated cardiac neurodevelopment specialty nurse and cardiac educational liaison, resulting in a 40% year-over-year increase in completed neurodevelopmental assessments and over 100 families receiving educational liaison support!
Our team has championed numerous developmental care initiatives in the past year, including our Developmental Firsts initiative (first feed, first bath, first hold), Tiny Tots play program for cardiac inpatients, annual developmental care nurse training (Oct 2025), week-long cardiac inpatient skin-to-skin-athon (May 2025) and cardiac inpatient read-a-thon (Feb 2026), tables at the cardiac stuffed animal clinic (Feb 2026), and new weekly bedside developmental care rounds.
As the 2026 CNOC Scientific Sessions host site, we are so excited to welcome the CNOC community to Wilmington, DE in September 2026 for what will be an amazing conference! Hope to see you all there!
