One in 100 babies are born with congenital heart disease (CHD). This is the most common birth defect. A few decades ago, less than 25% of people born with CHD would reach adulthood. Due to improvements in both diagnosis and treatment, now over 90% reach adulthood. In the United States alone, there are over 2.4 million people living with CHD!
